Our programs

Forest School For children ages 3-6
Harmony Forest School is an outdoor early childhood program for children ages two to six. Learning is child-led: children explore, build, imagine, play, and take risks, developing good judgment and self-awareness along the way. Rain or shine, every day is filled with wonder, curiosity, and connection to the natural world.

Our emergent curriculum grows alongside the children and the seasons, allowing their interests to guide exploration and learning. Activities may include observing wildlife, tending gardens, hiking among redwoods, storytelling, music, theatre, and studying the plants and creatures that share our world. Through these hands-on, nature-immersive experiences, children develop resilience, independence, confidence, and grit, while also building social-emotional skills and collaboration.

At the heart of Harmony Forest School is a commitment to nurturing responsible, kind, and engaged children. Through play, exploration, and collaboration, children cultivate a lifelong connection with the Earth and a strong sense of stewardship, while building creativity, problem-solving skills, and joy in learning. This program complements Montessori by offering a nature-centered, child-driven environment that encourages observation, curiosity, and connection.

Montessori For children ages 3-6
At Harmony Montessori, we nurture  each child’s potential by encouraging them to follow their own inner prompting while fostering a deep appreciation for the natural world. Our curriculum uses nature as a tool for learning, allowing the seasons, plants, and creatures to inform studies and inspire curiosity. Children spend ample time outdoors, rain or shine, exploring and developing a sense of stewardship—one of Harmony’s core values.

In the Montessori classroom, each child learns at their own pace. The carefully prepared environment is designed to encourage exploration, independence, and creativity. Through hands-on, multi-sensory materials, children develop social skills, emotional growth, physical coordination, and cognitive readiness. Teachers observe and support each child, connecting them with activities that spark discovery, mastery, and joy.

At the heart of Harmony Montessori is a commitment to nurturing children who are kind, responsible, respectful, and engaged members of their community. Our program inspires a lifelong love of learning, cultivating confidence, curiosity, and joy.

Young Child Community at Harmony for children ages 18-3
Designed for our youngest learners, the Young Child Community helps children develop independence, social skills, and confidence. This program gently prepares children to transition into either Montessori or Forest School by supporting early learning, self-care, and separation from parents in a nurturing environment.
